Goals / Focus
The mission of the IEEE Canadian Atlantic Section YP affinity group is TBD based on feedback of its members. Generally, IEEE YP address personal and professional needs of recent graduates (networking, career development and exploration, personal management), and to provide young professionals with the opportunities to contribute to the engineering community and to develop their non-technical skills.
History
The IEEE Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) was created in 1996 as a membership program to help students transition to young professionals within the larger IEEE community. In 2014 IEEE GOLD became IEEE Young Professionals (YP) to make the group more recognizable to IEEE members.
